Chiara Witry
Technical Director
Chiara Witry has joined theSJA Team in 2023 due to a previously joint project, with Edwin Cleophas in 2022, as an Event Coordinator and Technical Assistance for The Untold Truth Webinar. The volunteering projects in 2019 in South Africa as well as the first degree BA International Tourism Management from the Netherlands sparked an interest to continue the work in the anti-racism and social justice space. With the acquired knowledge from the Undergraduates’ thesis (Investigating the perception of racial discrimination by Black tourism business owners in CPT), the valuable work experience with Southern Cross Conferences in Cape Town as well as the gradually deteriorating state of the world have led them to the conclusion to remain in the academic field and continue to do the work to create a just society.
Chiara is currently based in Luxembourg but will continue their studies at the University of Cologne (Germany) starting in October 2023 in Cultural and Social Anthropology & African Languages and Cultures as a Dual Major.
